THE HOTEL PICK UP

I shall meet you in the lobby area of your hotel, Leningradsky Railway Station if you go from Saint-Petersburg by ‘Sapsan’ train or any other indicated address to begin the tour from there.

CITY TOUR

The programme starts with a chauffeur-driven tour of the city. GRAND CAFÉ DR. ZHIVAGO

The city tour part of the programme finishes near Red Square where an affordable luxury dinner with the Kremlin view in Grand Café Dr. Zhivago is waiting for us on the ground floor of the legendary hotel ‘National’. This fashionable and stylish restaurant follows a purely Russian concept presenting Russian cuisine as a big part of the national culture (a reservation required at least a week in advance).

ST BASIL CATHEDRAL

After lunch you’ll have the opportunity to visit Red Square and the most legendary Moscow landmark called St. Basil’s Cathedral that was commissioned by Ivan the Terrible to mark the 1552 capture of Kazan. This ‘heavenly Jerusalem’ in the heart of Moscow won’t leave anybody indifferent.

MOSCOW METROPOLITAN TOUR

Then we’ll visit Moscow Metropolitan – an architectural masterpiece of the USSR and the most beautiful rapid underground system of the world.

THE STATE TRETYAKOV GALLERY

The programme ends up in the State Tretyakov Gallery which possesses a unique collection of Russian art from the 10th century to modern times. If you do not consider yourself an art lover don’t worry. It won’t be a lecture in arts. Our excursion to the Tretyakov Gallery is an illustrated journey of Russian history from the Ruriks to the Romanovs.

The programme ends up near the Tretyakov Gallery in the close vicinity to Tretyakovskaya Metro Station. If you wish the guide to see you back to the hotel or another place in Moscow, please, inform us about it in advance.
Important
This programme is very intensive and suits visitors who want to see as much as possible in one day. If you prefer to go at a more relaxing pace, leave the Tretyakov Gallery or St. Basil Cathedral for the next day tour or an independent visit with an audio-guide.
